Rebecca Griffin, also known as Bec, has had a lifelong love and passion for all things equine. She has been riding since a very early age progressing throughout the years from pony club through to state and young rider, national level. A keen eventer and show jumper, passing on her jumping passion to her daughter Tayor, who is a dedicated state squad representative and show jump competitor. She is an EA Accredited coach and has numerous qualifications in the equestrian and mind coaching fields. Rebecca coaches and trains horses on her boutique horse facility in Great Western, Victoria, home of Elite Equestrian Academy.

Over the past 20 years she has developed numerous programs and strategies to assist equestrians in the daily challenges faced with their riding journey. Working closely with other professionals, she works as a keen team member, assisting clients to be the best they can be, from the beginner rider to our elite athletes.

Her communication skills bring out the best in both horse and riders throughout the various stages of training.

With a positive and empathetic personality Rebecca develops excellent professional relationships with clients and goes above and beyond to help athletes to overcome hurdles and be the best they can be.

Tayor has grown up around horses all of her life, assisting with everyday horse duties and riding independently on little Billy, her miniature pony, from the age of one and a half. She has always been fiercely independent with her horses, doing her first children’s hunt at the age of two and a half.

Tayor developed her way through pony club for a few of her early years, then went straight out to EA at about the age of 11, riding her own horses along with often taking on her mums.

Showjumping is her main passion, however she has tried her hand at a number of disciplines and shows great skill in all. Tayor has taken on her mums passion for teaching and educating horses, assisting in all aspects of Elite Equestrian Academy.

Tayor’s coaching knowledge that she reflects has been developed from only the best coaches in the equine industry. Being fortunate enough to have many lessons with top level riders, such as, Matt Williams, David Lever, Adam Wootten, Russell Johnstone, Dave Middleton, Paul Brent, Allan Mitchell, Karen Blythe and many more.

Tayor has inherited her mums communication skills and empathy for both horse and rider, with natural timing and natural talent. Tayor and Bec make a very professional team complimenting each other’s skills and always continuing all aspects of their equine education.
